Impressed the skeptics with battery-powered Zero-Turn: – Delivered from the start!

"I have to admit that I was a little skeptical after several bad experiences with electric mowers in the past. However, I couldn't have been more wrong," says Mathias Eriksen, a park worker at Sarpsborg Municipality.

There were many prejudices when the general manager of Senter Landbruksverksted AS, Pål Engebregtsen, heard about Arien's new battery-powered Zero-Turn.

"You think differently about electric mowers when you've heard a few different experiences along the way," says Engebregtsen.

However, he explains that it didn't take long for him to realize that this was in a completely different league.

"We were simply impressed. There's good uptime, low maintenance and not least the maintenance and, not least, the environmental perspective, which is very important and will become even more so in the future.”

With sustainability on the agenda

As one of the first in the country, Sarpsborg municipality bought a Zenith E from Senter Landbruksverksted AS. According to Jon Harald Huseby, operations manager at the parks department, it was precisely the green shift that made them to go for the Zenith E.

"Sarpsborg Municipality is committed to green solutions for the environment, so we were very pleased when we heard about Zenith E. We quickly realized that it was the way to go for us.”

As they had no previous experience with Zero-Turn on battery, they were still a little excited about whether it would present any challenges.

Minimal maintenance costs

Now, almost a year after they first got the Zenith E, Huseby says that they are still just as satisfied with the machine.

"Zenith E is a very good machine that really delivers. Not only is it environmentally friendly, but it is powerful and reliable. In addition, it costs us minimal maintenance. In the past, we have spent up to up to 50,000 kroner a year on maintenance of diesel-powered mowers. So far, however, we've only spent 500 kroner. That's a real difference.”

He also points out how easy it is to prepare the machine between working days.

"We connect it to the charger every evening, and then it lasts plenty for our consumption the next day with mowing in parks and so on. It doesn't get any easier than that!”
