Enjoy mowing the lawn: Faster and no clippings

Make your life easier. Mowing the lawn takes time – regularly. Ariens zero-turn mowers are the fastest way to mow a lawn. Mowing without stopping and avoiding obstacles in one go.

Ariens zero-turn mowers are not only for professionals and service providers, but also for private users. Zero-turn mowers are available in different sizes and cutting widths for private lawns from 1,000 m². The compact Ariens EDGE and IKON models are made for winding gardens and narrow driveways. Saving time is also the main advantage here. Mowing fun comes as standard.

Two disadvantages make conventional lawn tractors with steering wheels slow. The first is the collection of clippings in a collection bag. A lawn, especially in spring, collects a lot of clippings. Travelling back to the musty dumping ground, tipping and piling up mountains of slowly decomposing clippings takes time, space and detracts from the visual appearance of any garden. Modern zero-turn mowers do not collect clippings. When using a mulching kit, the cut blades of grass are held for a short period of time in separate cutting segments of the mowing deck and shredded into small particles by specially shaped mulching blades. These particles remain almost invisible on the mown surface. Any fertiliser that is applied also remains as a nutrient and can be quickly reabsorbed. When using a side or rear discharge, the slightly less shredded clippings are distributed over a large area of the lawn by a particularly strong air flow from the zero-turn mower. The clippings dry out quickly, are also distributed evenly and are barely visible after a short time.

The second reason why classic lawn tractors with a steering wheel are slow is technical. Every time you turn, you have to manoeuvre like a car. Forwards, backwards, turn the steering wheel. Turning in several passes takes time. Ariens zero-turn mowers, on the other hand, can turn in one go, in a continuous forward motion. The more turning manoeuvres a mowing area requires, the more time you gain with a zero-turn mower. Obstacles such as trees can be avoided in one go with an Ariens zero-turn mower, which is impossible with a front-steered lawn tractor. A zero-turn mower is steered intuitively using the two steering levers. Only slight movements of the steering levers allow the machine to be steered with millimetre precision. The unrivalled manoeuvrability and high mowing speed of a zero-turn mower take the user to a new level of ease and fun. Don’t underestimate these factors! Imagine how mowing that used to be a chore suddenly becomes fun and enjoyable.

Small private gardens

Zero-turn mowers make lawn mowing easier from an area of approx. 1000 m². The most compact Ariens model for this area of application is the EDGE model. With its mowing width of 86 or 107 cm, it skilfully weaves its way through narrow spaces, around flowerbeds or through garden gates and doors. It requires less floor space in the garden shed than a lawn tractor. But the compact Ariens EDGE is anything but weak. A full 19 hp of engine power mows even dense and overgrown lawns without compromise. Choose between side discharge or optional mulching kit. The Ariens EDGE is particularly easy to maintain. All you need to do is sharpen the blades and service the engine oil from time to time. The wheel drive is permanently maintenance-free.

Large private gardens

The Ariens IKON is made for medium to large gardens. It masters areas of approx. 1,500 – 5,000 m² in no time at all. The Ariens IKON focusses on extended user comfort. It is based on equipment elements from the larger Ariens series. A comfortable seat with armrests, ample legroom, large tyres, a torsion-resistant tubular frame and Kawasaki® engines are standard. The IKON makes no compromises when it comes to the cutting pattern. Three extra high-speed blades, a fully welded, 2.9 mm thick and 11.5 cm deep cutting deck generate an optimum air flow for excellent mowing results. With its cutting widths, you have the choice between a compact 107 cm or a 132 cm cutting deck designed for high area performance. With the Ariens IKON, you can save up to 40% time compared to a classic lawn tractor. The hydrostatic wheel motors on the Ariens IKON are also maintenance-free.

Private

Do you have a beautiful lawn in your garden or around your property? Do you want to maintain your lawn regularly from mid-March? Depending on the cutting width, our mowers can handle all garden sizes.

Petrol

Our mowers are equipped with high-quality Kawasaki® or Ariens engines. They deliver above-average performance and reliability.

Optional mulching kit

When using a suitable mulching kit in your mower, the side discharge is no longer necessary. The clippings are finely shredded and evenly distributed to the rear of the lawn. Any fertilizer applied remains on the surface and the fine grass particles disappear almost invisibly into the lawn.

Ride-On (sitting)

Ariens ride-on mowers offer a high level of comfort. We use high-quality seats from the entry-level model upwards. Ample legroom and ergonomic controls are standard.

Rear discharge

With the APEX and ZENITH models, you have the choice between side discharge and rear discharge mower decks. A rear discharge mower deck is closed at the side and ejects the clippings to the rear. The advantage is that no clippings are thrown onto paths or beds and, compared to a mulching kit, taller grass can also be mowed well. Rear discharge Mower decks are often used in the municipal sector.

Side discharge

With the APEX and ZENITH models, you have the choice between side discharge and rear discharge mower decks. A side discharge mower deck ejects the clippings via a side opening and a deflector. The powerful airflow then distributes it over a large area. An optional mulching kit can be installed in side discharge mower decks. When a mulching kit is used, the clippings are finely shredded and ejected to the rear. The side discharge and deflector are then closed or removed.

Flat terrain

All Ariens mowers are suitable for flat lawns. Select your cutting width according to the size of your area and any limiting narrow areas.

Undulating terrain

Ariens mowers cope well with undulating terrain. For undulating terrain, choose narrower cutting decks for a more uniform cutting pattern.

Hilly terrain

It is best to choose a machine with wide wheels. Do not exceed the specified safety limit of 15° incline for ride-on mowers and 20° for stand-on mowers. On undulating terrain, choose narrower cutting decks for a more uniform cutting pattern. The ZENITH model has a roll-over protection as standard. It can be retrofitted to the APEX.

Small areas

Zero-turn mowers are not just for large areas. The EDGE model with a cutting width of 86 cm is suitable for areas from approx. 800 m² and narrow passages.

Medium-sized areas

Use mowing widths of 107 cm and 122 cm on medium to large lawns.

Large areas

Mowing decks 132 cm and 152 cm wide are used effectively on large areas.
